Edmonton could be on that list Antworten

MILWAUKEE -- A sea of fans wearing Wisconsin red roared after every stop and every score, growing more exuberant as the Badgers NCAA opener became a historic rout. Cheap Red Air Max . Playing the first two tournament games close to home was a goal all year, and Wisconsin players fed off the energy to extinguish any upset hopes of 15th-seeded American. Ben Brust scored 17 points and the No. 2 seed devastated the Eagles with a 22-5 run to close the first half in a 75-35 victory Thursday in Milwaukee, barely 90 minutes from their campus in Madison. No. 2 seed Wisconsin (27-7) recovered from a brief first-half rut as the Eagles (20-13), champions of the Patriot League, built a seven-point lead with their Princeton-style offence. "It was good to get the building loud," Brust said. "I said, Hey, theyre up. We better wake up." Trailing 17-10 about midway through the first half, the Badgers took away the backdoor cuts, forced turnovers and otherwise flustered American into 4-of-26 shooting over the final 29 minutes. One field-goal drought lasted nearly 14 minutes. "Thats pretty crazy," guard Josh Gasser said. "That must mean you did something well." The Eagles dont encounter the type of execution and athleticism displayed by Wisconsin in the Patriot League. "Theyre a No. 2 seed for a reason," coach Mike Brennan said. After Wisconsin was ousted in the first round last year as a fifth seed, Brust made sure his senior season didnt end the same way. He attacked the glass for buckets on back-to-back possessions, ending with a 3-point play to give Wisconsin a 23-20 lead. The rout was on. The Badgers hit 57 per cent of their shots in the second half on the way to their largest margin of victory in the schools 44 NCAA post-season games. John Schoof and Tony Wroblicky each had 11 points for American. "We were excited. We were playing well. We were making them take tough shots," said Wroblicky. "We were scoring, then we kind of hit a rut." Schoof hit two early 3s and Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year Tony Wroblicky proved to be handful on the offensive end to help the Eagles build a surprising lead. But this year, offence isnt as much of a problem for the Badgers, even with leading scorer Frank Kaminsky on the bench with foul trouble at the end of the first half. Anyone on the floor can score. On Thursday, it was Brust. After hitting two 3s earlier in the half, Brust drove the lane and pumped his fist after getting a bucket and drawing a foul. Traevon Jackson later added a 3. Gasser posted up and got fouled, walking away with an angry look before returning to the line to hit two foul shots. By then it was 28-22 Wisconsin, and Jackson raised his arms to implore the crowd to get loud. It was basically over. American opened the second half shooting 1 of 11, and coach Bo Ryan started going to his backups with 5 minutes left and the Badgers up 38. The reserves didnt waste what might be their only chance in the tourney floor time. "Right away, when a couple guys took shots, they knew right were the camera was," Ryan joked. Jackson finished with a game-high 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while Sam Dekker finished with 11. Florida Gulf Coasts NCAA tournament run last year as a No. 15 seed has given all underdogs hope. And for a while in the first half, American was on a similar roll. But Ryan was confident his team could handle the Princeton offence, a scheme the Badgers had faced successfully when playing Northwestern in recent years under Bill Carmody. Ryan said he was even awoken by a few nightmares last night of his team getting beat on backdoor cuts. They figured it out and earned another game in friendly surroundings. "We couldnt score," Brennan said. "They stopped us stone cold." Nike Air Max Womens . -- Arizona came out of its last meeting with California a bit discombobulated, hurting from its first loss and the loss of forward Brandon Ashley for the rest of the season. Nike Air Max 95 Sale . Belfort was originally schedule to fight Chris Weidman at UFC 173 on May 24, but a Nevada State Athletic Commission ban on testosterone replacement therapy forced the former light heavyweight champ to withdraw. http://www.airmax2018womens.us/ .Airport spokeswoman Heather Lissner said that all departing flights were back on schedule. However, arriving flights were still trying to catch up.Super Bowl Sunday got off to an inconvenient start for hundreds of passengers trying to get to Phoenix for the game.TSN Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie, Pierre LeBrun and Darren Dreger gathered for the latest installment of Insider Trading and the topics discussed were the Edmonton Oilers goaltending situation, Chris Kunitzs Olympics chances, Morgan Rielly and Sean Monahans NHL prospects and the status of Dylan Chanter. How are the Edmonton Oilers reacting to their poor goaltending to start the season? Bob McKenzie: Devan Dubnyks sub-par performance on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs does not have Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish pushing the panic button, but it does have him reaching for the telephone. As early as Sunday, MacTavish has been working the phones and working them hard to determine the market for goaltenders. They are looking at every possibility, from Anaheims Jonas Hiller to Buffalos Ryan Miller to Brian Elliott in St. Louis to Michal Neuvirth in Washington and beyond. There isnt anything the Edmonton Oilers arent at least looking at or considering, but we are to believe that nothing is imminent at this point. Part of the problem the Oilers are going to run into is that most of these teams dont want to make a deal this early in the season and give up one of their surplus goaltenders until they get a better handle on their own situation. Darren Dreger: The Buffalo Sabres were hoping to wait until at least Christmas before they could assess and if you look at Ryan Miller, yes he would be a good fit for the Edmonton Oilers they need that bonafide number one, but contractually he has a modified no-trade, he has the opportunity to pick up to eight teams where he wont accept a trade. Edmonton could be on that list. Regardless, if they arent on the list and there is potential for a trade with Anaheim or Buffalo, the Oilers are getting to the point where they realize theyre going to have to give up one of their young guns. Is Chris Kunitz under scrutiny by the Hockey Canada selection team? Pierre LeBrun: Id say this is a debate at least internally for the Team Canada brain trust bbecause this is a guy they brought to the Olympic camp, I know when we put our teams together we werent all on the same page with Chris Kunitz. Cheap Air Max 2018. Peter Chiarelli of the Team Canada committee group was in Pittsburgh to watch Kunitz Tuesday night and they are going to watch him very closely. There are some people in the group that believe he is the perfect complement to Sidney Crosby, if he can do it in Pittsburgh he can do it at the Olympics because its so hard to find a guy to mesh with Crosby. Other guys in the group just dont think he belongs in the Olympics; this debate is going to go down to the wire. What are the chances Morgan Rielly stays with the Toronto Maple Leafs instead of being returned to Junior? Dreger: 80 per cent chance that Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Morgan Rielly sticks in the National Hockey League this year. He has to play better this week than he did on the weekend against the Edmonton Oilers. If he does, hell seal the deal. What are the chances for Sean Monahan to stick with the Calgary Flames? LeBrun: Sean Monahan of the Calgary Flames is second in rookie point scoring heading into Tuesday but the Flames want to see how hes going to play in tough upcoming road games. They are going to face the San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings, thats real competition, then theyll decide what to do with him. What is the status of Dylan Chanter and will this lead to changes in the USHLs fighting policies? Dreger: Dylan is still recovering, hes not yet willing to talk about the incident, obviously he needs more time and wants a few more days to get back to normal. The USHL and USA hockey are not going to leave this incident alone without a full investigation. Its unlikely that theyre going to embrace any sort of rule change or further restrictions to fighting in the USHL in season, but USA hockey is very passionate about this so I wouldnt be surprised if they adopt the college hockey route, stricter restrictions to fighting in the off-season.
