ESPN’s Field Yates first reported Thursday that Falcons Assistant General Manager Scott Pioli would be stepping down from the role to pursue other opportunities. The team confirmed the news, with Pioli providing the reasoning for his decision. Pioli joined the team ahead of the 2014 draft, and was apart of a number of key selection with the team, including left tackle Jake Matthews Black Brandon Fusco Jersey , defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, linebacker Deion Jones, defensive ends Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley, safety Keanu Neal and recent offensive linemen Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary. Pioli was with the Chiefs before rejoining his old New England Patriots cohort and Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff in Atlanta’s front office. Dimitroff commented on the decision in the release Brandon Fusco Jersey 2019 , providing Pioli his support. The team has former Titans GM Ruston Webster and Bears GM Phil Emery on staff as national scouts. Both could fill the empty role of assistant GM, as could Director of Player Personnel Shepley Heard. (AP) — Falcons middle linebacker Deion Jones is still not ready to play and will be inactive Sunday against Dallas.Kicker Matt Bryant had a good week of practice and will be on Atlanta’s game-day roster after missing the last three games with a sore right hamstring.Coach Dan Quinn ruled Jones out after Friday’s practice but hopes he will be ready when Atlanta plays Thursday at New Orleans. Jones returned to the active roster this week after spending two months on injured reserve with a broken right foot.“He’s certainly close,” Quinn said. “We were able to give him more reps as the week went on. He’s been working in the pass game for a while. This week he got really involved in the run game and taking guys on and the power that goes with it.”The Falcons (4-5) will face the Cowboys (4-5) with a defense that ranks third worst in yards allowed and fourth worst in scoring.
