unselfishly for Aguero to sidefoot hom Antworten

MANCHESTER, England -- Manchester City delivered a devastating attacking display to humble Tottenham 6-0 on Sunday, sending a warning to its title rivals by condemning Spurs to their joint heaviest Premier League defeat in 17 years. Washington Capitals Jerseys . Jesus Navas bookended yet another huge home win for City by scoring after 14 seconds and again in second-half stoppage time, with Sergio Aguero also netting in each half to add to an own goal by Sandro and a brilliant strike by Alvaro Negredo. "We have to be ashamed of a result like this," Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas said. "To lose 6-0 is extremely embarrassing." City, which stayed six points behind leader Arsenal after 12 games, was 5-0 ahead after 56 minutes and has now scored 18 goals in its last three home games in all competitions. If Manuel Pellegrinis side can sort out its dreadful away form, it will surely be favourite to land a second league title in three years. "It is impossible to play better than we did today," Pellegrini said. Tottenham is languishing in ninth place despite spending more than 100 million pounds (now $160 million) on mostly attacking talent in the summer. And with Manchester United up next weekend, they could yet find themselves even further out of the title picture in a season that had initially promised so much. With just nine goals in 12 league games, scoring has become a serious problem since the summer departure to Real Madrid of Gareth Bale, who saved them so often last season. Not since a 7-1 loss to Newcastle in December 1996 have they been beaten by a six-goal margin -- and it could have been a lot worse. City, meanwhile, remains the enigma of the season. Flawless in six matches at the Etihad, they have picked up just four points so far from a possible 18 on their travels. As so often at home, City exploded out of the traps -- Spurs midfielder Sandro was sick on the pitch, such was the intensity of the opening minutes -- and had the game sewn up at halftime. And the hosts were given a helping hand by Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Spurs approach is to play the ball out from the back through the France goalkeeper but the tactic backfired here before many fans had settled in their seats. Lloris weak clearance went straight to Aguero and although Lloris saved the Argentines curling shot, the ball fell to Navas, who curled a clever shot over the keeper into the top corner for Citys fastest ever goal in 21 seasons of the Premier League and the second quickest this campaign. "It was a difficult start for us," Villas-Boas said. "After that, everything you had in mind goes down the drain." Spurs enjoyed some early possession, with Erik Lamela having a shot cleared off the line by Martin Demichelis, but they always looked vulnerable at the back and Lloris was at his best to deny Aguero chipping in for the second after seven minutes. Lloris was his own worst enemy for the second goal too, making another tame kick to spark a City attack that saw Samir Nasri feed the ball to Aguero, whose effort was parried away to Negredo. The Spain strikers volley from eight yards deflected off Younes Kaboul onto the leg of Sandro and into the back of net. Aguero wrapped up a perfect first half for the hosts by steering in a textbook cross from Navas and Spurs were on their knees. It was to get much, much worse. Yaya Toure had cantered through the first 45 minutes but he burst into life in the 50th by exchanging passes with Negredo and storming into the box, where he crossed unselfishly for Aguero to sidefoot home for his 15th goal in 13 games. "For me, Kun (Aguero) is just after (Lionel) Messi and (Cristiano) Ronaldo as one of the best three players in the world," Pellegrini said. Nasri toe-poked against the bar before Negredo span his marker from Fernandinhos through-ball and fired a brilliant finish into the top corner. 5-0 and still more than half an hour left. Mercifully for Tottenham, Aguero and Nasri were taken off soon after the hour mark but the introduction of forgotten man Emmanuel Adebayor for his first appearance of the season failed to spark Spurs. And after starting the rout, Navas finished it after more dreadful defending by Spurs. A raking pass by James Milner failed to be cut out by Jan Vertonghen and Navas ran through to slip a finish past Lloris. John Carlson Jersey . He had spent 16 days on the disabled list before being activated Thursday. He was batting just .203 when he came to bat in the 11th inning on Sunday. Evgeny Kuznetsov Jersey . The Nuggets leading scorer, Lawson is characterized as day to day by the team. Hes averaging 17.9 points and 8.9 assists. Lawson suffered the injury late in Denvers win Sunday at Sacramento. http://www.officialcapitalspro.com/Rod-langway-capitals-jersey/ . "If we could score a six in every game, obviously I would be pretty excited," Jones said. "Its a long week but a short week. Its a pretty short round robin from what were used to so you dont want to get behind the eight ball early.WINNIPEG -- Ales Hemsky admitted he was feeling down after being traded to Ottawa from Edmonton last Wednesday. But his mood picked up after he had three assists in the struggling Senators 5-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday afternoon. "Its weird," said Hemsky, whos in his 11th NHL season. "You spend your whole career in one place and then you kind of realize youve come to the end. Its sad because I had a lot of great people there, even the locker-room was great and everybody treated me really well. "I was sad, but in the end I was excited to come here and play those type of games and battle for the playoffs." It was Hemskys second game and first points with Ottawa since he was traded and slotted on to the Senators top line. Milan Michalek scored the games first goal on the power play with an assist from Hemsky and centre Jason Spezza, who had three assists. "Hes an extremely offensively talented player," Spezza said of Hemsky. "I seem like I can read off him fairly easily. Ive watched him play a lot. Hes really good with the puck, hes got that short stick, protects it really well and is a good passer." Defencemen Jared Cowen and Eric Gryba and centres Kyle Turris and Mike Hoffman also scored for Ottawa (28-25-11), which had lost two straight and four of its past five games heading into the match. Craig Anderson stopped 46 shots for the Senators. Spezza said the players arent satisfied splitting their four-game road trip with a win over Vancouver, losses to Edmonton and Calgary and then the victory in Winnipeg. "Its nice to get the win tonight and get two points and get moving in the right direction again, but no, were not happy with .500 out of this trip," Spezza said. "Were fighting for the playoffs. We needed more points than that." Ottawa was six points out of a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference before the game. Turriss goal was his 21st of season, while it was Hoffmans first career goal and assist. Michalek picked up two assists. Jets centre Bryan Little earned his 20th goal of the season. Tobias Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien also scored for Winnipeg (30-28-7). Ondrej Pavelec started in goal for the Jets, but was replaced in the second period by Al Montoya after giving up five goals on 20 shots. Montoya stopped all 12 shots he faced. The Jets have lost three straight, including overtime against the New York Islanders and in regulation versus Los Angeles. Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice wasnt hanging the loss on Pavelec. "I know he didnt have a chance on the fiirst three (goals)," Maurice said. Dennis Maruk Jersey. "The fourth is a play thats going behind the net and its a laser. If he gets that one, its as much luck as it is positioning on that one. "Ive got no problem with him. I didnt take him out to do anything other than calm the bench. He had seen enough." Winnipeg went into the game three points back of Dallas for the final wild-card playoff spot in the Western Conference and one point behind Phoenix, which visits Washington Saturday night. The Senators led 2-1 after the first period and 5-2 following the second. Each team scored a pair of power-play goals. "Anytime youre a team thats going through what were going through at this point, when you have the lead, no lead is safe until the game is over," Ottawa head coach Paul MacLean said. "I think that was the case with us tonight. I thought they came with a push a but at the end of the day I thought our goaltender held the fort for us really well." Michalek scored his 11th goal of the season at 9:54 of the opening period with a deflection off a Jets defender just 20 seconds after defenceman Zach Bogosian went to the penalty box for holding. The goal was reviewed to see if the puck had fully crossed the line behind Pavelec. Little got his stick on a rebound and sent a backhand shot over a stretched-out Anderson at 16:59 with Senators winger Chris Neil off for interference. But the tie was short-lived as Cowens goal came 38 seconds later off a shot from the point. Winnipeg had a two-man advantage for 70 seconds in the period, but couldnt capitalize. Gryba scored 2:03 into the second period during a play that had Jets defenceman Mark Stuart sliding into Pavelec, sending him rolling at the side of the net. Winnipeg regrouped and Evander Kane won a faceoff and sent it back to Enstrom, who blasted a shot past Anderson at 4:15 while Ottawas Cowen was off for slashing. Turris and then Hoffman scored to make it 5-2 and Pavelec went to the bench. Byfuglien scored unassisted with a slapshot 2:13 into the third period for his 14th goal of the season. He said the team has got move on from the loss. "Couple of tough bounces," Byfuglien said. "Pavs been doing everything to keep us in every game." Ottawa was 2 for 4 on the power play and the Jets were 2 for 7. Winnipeg travels to Colorado for a game Monday and then hosts Vancouver on Wednesday. The Senators host Nashville on Monday. Notes: The Jets are now 11-5-2 since head coach Paul Maurice took over on Jan. 12 ... Jason Spezza now has 11 points (2G, 9A) over the last eight games.
